This week Kevin and I are in Nashville at the 2012 Commodity Classic. This is the annual meeting and trade show for the American Soybean Association (ASA), the National Corn Growers Association (NCGA), the National Association of Wheat Growers (NAWG) and the National Sorghum Producers (NSP). They have this convention every year and it’s a great time to meet up with all of our friends and colleagues in the agriculture industry.
Kevin is a delegate and is attending the trade policy meetings and issues briefings meetings and this year I am just along for fun.
The Commodity Classic is a special trip for us since we meet there six years ago when it was in Anaheim, CA. (More about that tomorrow!) Today was the opening day for the trade show so I spent the afternoon walking around seeing all the new items in the ag industry. I also got to see a lot of friends that I had met back when I was the Trade Show Consultant for Rural Community Insurance Services. And I also got to see a lot of friends that I have meet over the past year with my involvement in CommonGround.
If you are in the ag industry in some form or another, the Commodity Classic is a great way to meet a lot of farmers and ag business leaders. Check it out! The annual meeting and trade show is heading to Kissimmee, FL next year!
Below are a few pictures from the trade show today. Hope to see you at the Commodity Classic next year!
