The Last Three Weeks….

April 3, 2012 By Sara

“Where have you been the last three weeks?” you say.  Well, where do I begin…..

The week after HD’s 2nd birthday and our 5th anniversary we spent hanging out with the puppies, busy traveling for work for three of those days, moving cattle, calving, celebrating St. Patty’s Day, finalizing our farm taxes, finishing up with crop insurance sales and attending a church potluck.  And that was all in one week!

Hudson got to do a little fishing with Grandpa Jim while we were out there for work.

The other two weeks have been spent doing yard work (I have all my flower beds cleaned out at home and the office, the yard is mowed and sticks picked up, a dead tree has been removed from our yard, the garden is tilled and some strawberry plants have been transplanted from my in-laws), calving, finalizing our personal taxes, snow skiing for four days with my sister, Megan and my dad, Creighton baseball games, hanging out with friends, etc.  It’s been absolutely gorgeous outside so we have taken advantage of it by getting the yard work caught up with and we have also been doing a lot of grilling.  Kevin’s been power washing equipment and is gearing up for planting season to start in the next couple of weeks.

Think I can plant quite a bit in this garden this year!

The puppies are growing like weeds!  They are doing so well together.  It’s been so nice that they have been outside almost the whole time the past few weeks which I really like.  It keeps my kitchen floor a little cleaner!

Now it’s the beginning of April and I’m right in the middle of a busy time with work and getting the May issue of The Home Agency magazine ready to send to the printer.  Hudson is loving being outside and doesn’t want to come inside at the end of the day.  Kevin’s busy time with planting is right around the corner and we are still calving.  We have quite a few left to have their calves.  I need to get out there and take some pictures.  The calves are so cute when they are newborns!

Well, I hope to be blogging on a regular basis again.  Just needed a break for a few weeks to get some stuff done!  Talk to you again soon!
