Mommy Monday: Missed my boys

March 5, 2013 By Sara

Last week Kevin and I flew down to Kissimmee, FL for the 2013 Commodity Classic.  We had a great time catching up with good friends that we only see once a year, Kevin attended meetings as a delegate to the National Corn Growers Association and I got some much needed downtime.
Although it was nice to go on a little vacation, it was great to get home and see the boys.  When we walked in the door, we were greeted by a smiling little boy.  He said, “Mommy, Daddy!  You came back!”  It was so cute!  Every time we called him, he was always too busy having fun to talk to us, but when we got back he acted like he was worried that we weren’t coming home!  Funny how little one’s minds work!
Below are some pictures from this past month.  AJ is really getting expressive and I love seeing his smiles and to hear him laugh.  He’s really getting on a schedule too.  He loves his bath time every night. He can be fussy one minute, but as soon as I take him into the bathroom and turn the water on, he’s all smiles!  This last week he has started to scarf down 8 ounces, I believe he may be going through another growth spurt!
HD is growing up so much too.  His birthday is this Friday.  I can’t believe he’s going to be 3 years old already!  He’s changed so much this past year, I just can’t believe it.  He’s got quite the imagination and loves to learn.  Some of the things he says just makes me smile.

Well, this is going to be a busy week getting caught up with work and planning the big birthday party!  It’s a sports theme since HD is so into any kind of sporting event right now.  Stay tuned for all the details!  Have a good week!
