Mommy Monday: Easter Weekend

April 1, 2013 By Sara

Hello!  Hope you all had a great Easter weekend!  We definitely did at our house.  The weather was very nice until yesterday afternoon.  It started to cool off and then we got about an inch of snow overnight….a great April Fools joke!  Hopefully that was the last of the snow!  Those warm temps that we saw last week were so nice, we’re all hoping to see more of them!
Saturday afternoon we went to an Easter egg hunt in a nearby town.  HD isn’t mad in the picture below, I had just taken off his hat and sunglasses so I could see his face and he was squinting because of the sun.  I guess I should have left the sunglasses on!

HD and his buddy Q

Saturday evening we spent at home making food for dinner the next day.  AJ was my helper for awhile.

Then on Sunday morning, we managed to make it to the Sunrise Service at 7:30.  This picture was taken before church.  Pretty bright-eyed for 7am!

Not sure what they were discussing here…

The picture below was taken after church.  When we got home the boys found their Easter buckets that the Easter bunny left for them.

It’s kind of hard to take a family picture of yourself with two kiddos.  This is the best one that I got!

Then it was off to have dinner and an Easter egg hunt at Kevin’s parent’s house down the road.  Since Kevin’s sister and her family weren’t able to make it this year, HD was the only child on the hunt.  He got so excited when he found the eggs.

He had to count to make sure he found all 26 eggs!  He can make it to 20 all by himself, but then needs a little help getting going in the 20s.  Not too bad for a three year old though!

Hope you all had a great Easter weekend.  I’m making scalloped potatoes and ham with the leftovers tonight!  Yum!
