I’m just returning from the most amazing conference that I have ever been too! This past week I attended the BlogHer Food 2013 conference in Austin, TX as a CommonGround volunteer. CommonGround was a sponsor of the conference and we had a booth where food bloggers could come and talk to us farmers face-to-face. A lot of them had never met a farmer before and they had so many great questions!
The women from CommonGround that I was with for the past four days are wonderful! We all enjoy talking so much about agriculture and where the food that you buy in the grocery store is grown and raised. The food bloggers were so friendly and open to asking questions and listening to us that we couldn’t have asked for a better audience.
I got to meet a lot of bloggers that I “know” through their blogs and social media, but it was great to put a face with all of that.
I want to thank BlogHer for this awesome opportunity to talk to food bloggers and for all the great sessions they had throughout the two-day conference. I learned so much and hope to incorporate that into my own blog. Hope to be back again next year!
Sounds like a fun conference and great opportunity! (And I’m jealous you got to meet Ree Drummond!)
Wow, Sara, looks like you had a great time! Did you eat any chocolate brownies while you were there? Because they smell good.
Yes, Katie I did have a blast! Learned so much! 🙂
So jealous you got to meet PW!!!!
