Our Almost One Year Old!

November 6, 2013 By Sara

In a couple of weeks we will have a three year old and a ONE year old!  Crazy!  It seems just like yesterday we brought AJ home from the hospital.  It was the day before Thanksgiving last year, but it’s the week before this year.  We just had his one year appointment and he’s currently almost 23 pounds and 29.25″ long.  That puts him in the 50% percentile for both height and weight.
This past weekend he was sick.  He ran a temperature from Halloween evening until Saturday morning.  He didn’t want to do much but drink bottles and sleep.  Oh, and he did a little snuggling with mommy too!

Sunday he seemed a lot better so we headed to church.  His Uncle Jim was playing the piano for the Sunday school kids and he wanted to help.  Actually he just sat there and watched Uncle Jim play.  So cute!

After his nap that afternoon, I thought maybe he would want some fresh air, so we walked around outside and went next door to visit Great Grandma Marian.  Diesel came to say hi.  AJ just loves that dog!  He’s always grabbing his loose skin, patting his head or sitting on him.  And Diesel just lets him do it!

By Monday morning he was feeling much much better!  He has this new cheesy smile that just makes me laugh.  He also actually ate some breakfast that morning, so I could tell he was feeling good!

So, now it’s on to planning a one year birthday party for this crazy kid!  He’s definitely a “second” child.  He is full of energy and knows what he wants, and if he doesn’t get it…look out!  Not sure what his birthday party “theme” is going to be, so I guess I’ll head over to Pinterest for some ideas now!

Hope everyone is having a good week!
