Stitch Fix #2

November 1, 2013 By Sara

On Wednesday this week, my second Stitch Fix arrived in the mail.  Yeah!  I didn’t get home until really late that night, but I just had to peak to see what they sent me.  I pretty much knew what I was going to keep as soon as I opened the box!
The first item was something that I specifically asked for.  I LOVE this blazer!  It’s a 41Hawthorn Benson 3/4 Ruched Sleeve Blazer.  It’s a stretchy knit material in a really pretty burgundy color.  The inside lining is black and white stripe, so if you roll up the sleeves a little bit you can see that.

You can dress this blazer up or down, depending on what you pair it with.  I went in the middle and put on a black tank underneath with jeans and black heels.  This was a keeper!

The next item was a Mystree Cruz Embroidered Peplum Cotton Shirt.  I knew just by looking at the style of this shirt that I would be sending it back.  But I thought I’d try it on first.

I’m sure I could have paired it with something else that may have helped it (like turquoise jewelry which was suggested by my sister, Megan), but I really didn’t like how it fit me.  So this was sent back!

The third item was a Bay to Baubles Zoey Interlocked Triangle Charm Silver Necklace.

It was really pretty and I may have worn it once in awhile, but I didn’t really need another necklace, so I sent this back too.

The forth item I really liked.  It was an Ellison Loralie Lace Print Sheer Back Shirt.  You can’t really tell in the pictures, but the back is sheer and the front material is pretty thin also.

I put on a black skinny strapped tank underneath along with my black skinny jeans and black heels.  I didn’t put on any jewelry (I forgot) but some black sparkly earrings would look cool with this!  I decided to keep the shirt!

The last thing was a pair of colored skinny jeans which I also asked for.   They were Kensie Jeans-Kaleigh Ankle Biter Skinny Jean in an olive green color.

I wasn’t sure about these jeans, but when I tried them on I realized they would go with a lot of things! For this I quickly paired them with black tank (see a go to piece of clothing for me??), a beige jacket, a black and brown leopard scarf and tall black boots.  I decided to keep these too!

So in the end, I kept three pieces and sent two back.  All I had to do is put the two items that were being returned in the prepaid USPS bag that came in the box and then I dropped it off at my local post office.  Then I went online to my Stitch Fix account and paid for the items that I wanted to keep and explained why I was sending back the other items.  Those comments help them make better decisions next time around!

So overall I was pretty happy with my second box from Stitch Fix!

If you have any questions about Stitch Fix, they have a great FAQ section on their website that explains it all very well.  Let me know if you try it out and what you think!

Can I buy the blazer directly? I don’t want to be part of the normal style process.

      Colleen-
Hello! No, you can’t buy the blazer directly from Stitch Fix. You could try requesting it, but they may not have it any more! That’s my best suggestion! 🙂
