Hello! Oh, what a week! Kevin’s been out of the country since last Tuesday so I’ve been playing single parent for the last 12 days, hence the lack of posts from this week. Hopefully in July I can get back on track! With the 4th of July coming up in just five days, I included a few recipe posts that would work great at a celebration. Hope you have a great week and holiday weekend!
Here are some of my favorite posts from this week:
31 Days of Writing Prompts for July by The SITS Girls
Sometimes it’s nice to have someone else give you some ideas on what to right about. Here is a list of 31 topics, one for each day of July. So if you are having writers block like I do sometimes, check these out!
How You Like Me Now? by Sherry at Young House Love
Young House Love was the first DIY blog that I started reading about four years ago or so and continue reading it daily. I love this couple’s sense of style when it comes to renovating their homes. They also have a couple of cute kids and include projects for them too. Check them out if you are needing a tutorial for anything DIY. I’m sure they have it!
Hazelnut and Salted Caramel Ice Cream by Heidi at Foodie Crush
I L-O-V-E ice cream. I have a little Kitchen Aide attachment that makes 2 quarts at a time and have made quite a few flavors this summer so far. This recipe for hazelnut and salted caramel by Heidi at Foodie Crush is next on my list! So so delicious!
Patriotic Trifles by Carrian at Oh Sweet Basil
With the 4th of July in about five days, I’m searching for some recipes that would be easy, but delicious to make! These cute patriotic trifles from Carrian at Oh Sweet Basil would be perfect at a celebration. If you didn’t want to do some individual ones, you could always serve it in a large trifle bowl. Have a happy 4th of July!
