Hello! I have a quick and very handy tip for you on this great Thursday morning! It’s an easy way to get rid of fruit flies! Yes, those pesky little flies that seem to appear out of nowhere when you have a ripe piece of fruit sitting on your counter, or an open bottle of wine, or if you are bringing in fresh produce from your garden (or apples from your apple trees!). You know what I’m talking about?
Well, the best and EASIEST way that I’ve found to get rid of them is by using these ingredients: apple cider vinegar and dish soap.
All you need to do is take a little dish and put about a 1/2-3/4 inch of apple cider vinegar in it. Then add a squirt of dish soap.
Cover the dish tightly with plastic wrap.
Then use a fork to poke some holes in it, being careful not to make them too big.
Lastly, set it near fresh produce or where you are having the biggest issue with them congregating.
Before long they will be attracted to the apple cider vinegar and get trapped in the solution. Depending on how many you have I usually change the solution every few days or so.
Hope this helps you get rid of those pesky fruit flies! Let me know if you use any other ways to get rid of them!
