Hello! Right before my birthday last week I received my 8th Stitch Fix box in the mail. I specifically asked for things this time around and I thought my stylist, Rebecca, did a fantastic job! Even with the last-minute requests! I have found that the more specific you are about what you would like and would you don’t want in your Stitch Fix, the happier you are with the selections that they send you.
Also, if you find a Stylist that you like, you can continue to request them for future shipments! I looked back and I’ve had different stylists all the time, but that’s where giving them specific wants/needs comes in handy and also sharing with them a style board on Pinterest.
In this shipment I specifically asked for dark red/burgundy skinny jeans, a chunky sweater, and pieces that would travel easily since I’ll be traveling quite a bit over the next month. This is what Rebecca sent to me:
Pixley Kathy Striped Fit & Flare Dress-$68
Ok, I have to admit something. When I get the email from Stitch Fix that my shipment is on it’s way, I have to go online and see what they are sending to me. I can’t wait for two days to see it in person. This is both good and bad I have found. I’m either really disappointed or really excited at this point in time. The thing is that all that is listed on the website is the name of the article of clothing. You have no idea the color or what it’s actually going to look like. Sometimes I have been pleasantly surprised and other times disappointed when I actually get the clothes and can see what they look like. With this dress, I saw that it was striped and I was kind of nervous about that. I was still nervous when I opened the box and saw it was black and white horizontal strips, but I wanted to see what it looked like on. This is where I became pleasantly surprised! The dress fit perfectly and I really liked the look on me! Rebecca, my stylist, suggested wearing it with a denim jacket and my tall tan boots for a more casual look. So I tried that route first and then also tried it with some black heels and liked the dressier look also! Also, the material was great for packing and traveling with and again the dress fit great and was extremely comfortable! Win, win, win! So I kept this dress!
Pixley Emilie Pave Detail Stone Necklace-$38
Next up was this really pretty necklace. When I looked online before I received it, I had not pictured it being such a bright pink color, but it actually looks very nice with a lot of tops. And I love how big and chunky it is. I have a lot of longer necklaces, and not many shorter, chunkier ones. I actually have down that I don’t need any accessories, but I’m glad my stylist snuck this one in! I tried it on with the dress (see above picture) and loved it. I decided to keep this one!
41Hawthorn Moni Stud Detailed 3/4 Sleve Blouse-$58
When I saw this top, I thought to myself, “Ugh, another black top!” I actually love black and often find myself buying black tops, but I feel that with Stitch Fix they send me things that I wouldn’t normally buy in the store. It helps me get out of my comfort zone and add pieces to my wardrobe that I typically wouldn’t buy. Even though this is a black sheer top, the stud detail around the sleeves and neck make it different. I wore a little black tank underneath and paired it with some skinny jeans and little ballet flats. It makes a great outfit for a date night or for travel. Plus this top takes up hardly any room in a suitcase! So I kept this top also.
Market & Spruce Trinity Waffle Knit Sweater Tunic-$68
I don’t wear a lot of sweaters, not sure why, but I wanted to see what they would send me so I specifically asked for a chunky sweater in this shipment. When I saw the color I wasn’t so sure about it, but the day that I got it in the mail I was needing an outfit for a dinner that night. So I thought I’d dress this sweater up with some black skinny jeans and my tall, black boots. I added a chunky blue necklace and was set for dinner! The sweater is so soft and comfortable that I decided to keep it!

Level 99 Caius Straight Leg Jean-$98
And last, but not least the dark red skinny jeans that I asked for. I wear denim a lot and have been pretty lucky in the past with colored jeans from Stitch Fix. I have kept an olive green pair, a kelly green pair, and now I can added red too. These jeans are extremely soft and fit great! They are actually a little long, but with boots you can’t tell. I’ve pinned a bunch of outfits to my Style board on Pinterest that have red or burgundy jeans in them and can’t wait to pair these with some different colored tops! As you can see in the picture I tried it on with a black top and leopard print scarf. I’ll also wear it with a denim button down and pair it with my navy blazer, just to give you a few examples! Even though these jeans were a little pricey, I knew that I was going to keep all five pieces so I’d get the 25% discount along with some credit that I had with them from a friend signing up with my link. So I kept this too!
All in all this was a great fix! There were definitely pieces that I won’t have normally picked out in a store, but I’m very happy with all of the and have already worn all the pieces already! So thank you Rebecca for a great Fix!

Oh Julie I’d love to see what they sent you!
I’m wearing that dress to a concert tonight and I NEED that necklace! You look great. 🙂 I have your black shirt in white, too. I love it and get so many complements on it.
