Homemade Popsicles

July 15, 2011 By Sara

This last week I was in Bed, Bath & Beyond buying some wedding gifts when I came across these “sipper ice pop makers”.  I’m not sure if that’s the official name because I threw away the packaging right away.  So I did some googling and “sipper ice pop makers” is what I came up with.
They are kind of neat because there is a built-in straw so you can suck up what melts.  I eat my popsicles too fast so it doesn’t do me any good, but HD is a little slower, so he may get to use the straw part.
Anyways, these popsicles that I made were very simple:
Blend together:
8 oz of strawberry/banana yogurt
1/2 cup of fresh raspberries
About 1/2 cup of Squirt
Pour into the four popsicles compartments.  Insert the tops and freeze overnight.
The only issue that I found with these is that it is kind of hard to get the popsicles popped out of the container, but nothing a little hot water can’t take care of!

Enjoy!  You can use any kind of yogurt and fresh fruit to make different flavors and you can also substitute fruit juice for the Squirt.  I was just using what was handy in my frig at the time.

HD had no complaints!  He almost finished off the whole thing…and this was right after we ate dinner!
