Easter Weekend 2012

April 16, 2012 By Sara

Well, this is about a week late, but oh well!  We spent Easter at home this year.  On the Saturday before HD and I went down to Kevin’s parents house to dye Easter eggs.  He was old enough this year to “help” and didn’t make too big of a mess!  He only broke one egg…and so did I!

Trying to dye the egg and not his fingers!

Oops!

Easter morning, we got up bright and early and went to the sunrise service at our church.  We then ate breakfast there before heading home.  Since my sister, Megan, was there, we had her snap a family picture of us.  The sun was so bright, but it didn’t turn out too bad!

Then HD decided to play with the puppies in his good Easter outfit.

Then he got to see what the Easter bunny brought him this year!  He had a basket from Grandpa Jim and Grandma Sharri too since we couldn’t be with them this year.

Had to put on his new shoes, gardening gloves and binoculars all at the same time!

“I see you Aunt Megan!”

For lunch we headed down to Kevin’s parents for ham and all the fixings.  Afterwards we made a bunch of ham balls to freeze for everyone and then Kevin’s sister, Janet, and her family arrived and it was time for the annual Easter egg hunt!

HD didn’t care too much about the Easter egg hunt since he got Grandpa to get the mower out and drive him around on it.

After the boys beat the girls in the Easter egg hunt, we headed inside for supper and to celebrate Greg’s birthday.  He had all kinds of help blowing out the candles!

Before we all left, we wanted to get a cousin picture, but HD wasn’t wanting to sit down.  You can see in the picture below, Josie and Justin were chasing after HD trying to catch him.

Got them to all sit for just a second.

Then HD was off again!

Ended up with this picture being the best.  They are sitting from youngest to oldest.  HD is 2, Jon is 6, Josie is 8, Justin is 10 and Jill is 12.  They are all growing up sooooo fast!
