Preschool Graduation
Summer vacation is here and going strong! The weather is starting to warm up, but we’ve had quite a few of rainy and dreary days too. At least it’s not miserably hot yet….(knock on wood).
The Thursday before Memorial Day weekend was Hudson’s last day of Preschool and graduation. I seriously don’t know where this school year went! He had the best teacher(s) and absolutely loved school!
During the Preschool graduation some of the teachers came in and handed out a few awards. The first one given out was by Hudson’s P.E. teacher and it was the “Sportsmanship Award.” And she awarded it to Hudson! #proudparents
Next was the elementary librarian and she recognized the Principal’s 100 kids. These are kids that read (or had read to them) 100 books throughout the school year. Hudson was in on that too! He loves his books and we usually have to read a few every night before bed.

The next thing that his teacher did was hand out a different candy bar to each student that represented them. This was a really cute idea. As you can see in the picture below, Hudson received the Almond Joy Award for being a joy to teach and a pleasure to know.
We sure are going to miss Miss Missel and Debbie! But hopefully we see them again in a few years when Axten’s in Preschool! I already warned her that Ax and HD are quite a bit different and she said she had other parent’s say the same thing, so it sounds like that class might be pretty wild!

Summer Vacation
Now that summer vacation is officially here, I’ve been thinking about all the things that we will be doing and need to do this summer before the twins arrive early this fall! The summers always go so fast, but this one is going to fly by I have a feeling! Below is my “Summer Bucket List” aka to-do list before the twins arrive.
As you can see we are going on a family vacation to Florida this summer. We started talking about going somewhere eariler this spring and when we asked Hudson what he wanted to do, he said go to the beach. When I asked him if he wanted to see the ocean or play in the sand he said, “Play in the sand.” Well he could do that at both of his grandparent’s house right now! But since I’m not sure how soon we’ll be going on a big family vacation as a family of six, we thought maybe we’d head south and actually see the beach/ocean and also visit some family that lives down in Florida while we’re still a family of four. So if anyone has any tips or suggestions about family friendly beaches in FL, please leave me a comment and let me know! We’ll be staying in the Orlando and Naples areas while down there. Thanks in advance!
Well I hope your summer “vacation” is off to a great start too! Do you create bucket lists or to-do lists also? Anything exciting on yours for this summer? I’d love to hear if anyone else is going on a family vacation and to where! Have a great weekend!
